I have a BSc in meteorology, MSc in climatology and a PhD in water resources engineering. I’ve been researching on climate variability for more than 30 years and, more recently, connecting these natural variabilities to climate change. I am largely interested on applied research that produce solutions to estimate water availability, related to how the climate behaves. With this perspective, I have developed seasonal hydrological forecast methodologies that bring subsidies for decision making in hydropower production management, irrigation, water supply, among others. I have a very international background and have worked on and with institutions of about 20 different countries.
