The Bridge to COP26

After the main launch event #GetReadyforCOP26 in April 2021, The Bridge continues to champion Swedish solutions to prevent and mitigate effects from climate change.

The overarching purpose is still to raise awareness for the global climate challenges amongst businesses, policy makers and all the way to the breakfast tables. Come November, there should be but a rare few in Sweden that is not excited to follow the achievements and collaborations forged in Glasgow.

The format is our popular Bridge Talk, where high level guests from business, politics and third sector, share perspectives from their respective position and conclude by committing to joint actions. It’s power lies in the live presence of completing stakeholders and its casual, yet focused tone. As permanent panel member we have Mattias Goldmann, former CSO of Sweco and as conversational host we welcome back The Bridge’s own Director of Collaboration, Jonas Klevhag.

Our pilot episode was broadcasted on June 30th, hosting Jakob Kiefer, Group Head of Public Affairs at ABB, Chris Raftery, Head of Enterprise, Third Sector and Social Investment for the Scottish Government and Neil Fleming, Director at Challenges Group in Edinburgh. The burning topic was why it is so difficult to speed up development och the path from high level policy to grassroots level action when it comes to the global climate challenge.
